Bad NFA Dealer transaction

Well since this group is related to NFA stuff I figured I would share a recent NFA experience I had with another dealer. Me being an SOT that specializes in brokering and selling dealer sample machine guns. I had contacted Jonathan Babb at Sienna Armory about a gun he had listed for sale online. He advised he still had the gun and we negotiated a price for it. We both agreed and I was to send him the funds which I did. I was looking for this specific gun for one of my clients. The client agreed on the price and sent funds and law letter within two days to me. I was contacted by Jonathan yesterday who advised he shot the gun and decided he no longer wanted to sale it. He advised he didn't sale it out from underneath me but he wanted to keep it for him self. I explained to him that money and Law letter were already on the way. I also explained that in this business as dealers all we have is each other's word. He said sorry I changed my mind and has left me with the mess to clean up with the buyer now. I feel that it is important for other dealers on this site to know this since all we have is our word as dealers. Many dealers in this site have also done business with me and will attest that this is not my way of doing business. So in conclusion buyer beware!
