I spent 1/2 a day at Ruben Mendiola's (Dealer NFA) shop in Miami, Florida, yesterday and was quite impressed. He is extremely well organized and has one of the largest inventories of quality transferables which I have ever seen. He sent one of the transferables which I purchased from him to John Norrell, before I even asked, to have the Norrell 10/22 trigger pack checked out (since it was a heavily used gun). This customer service impressed me. Ruben wanted to make sure that the weapon fired reliably before he shipped it to me in Texas. I wish that more class 3 dealers and class 2 manufacturers followed this high standard.
Not long ago I had two custom made Ruger .45 camp carbine suppressors made and installed on weapons I supplied from a silencer manufacturer "out west". The suppressors looked great but the guns would not fire. It turned out that the manufacturer did not test fire the weapons and had bent the feed ramps on each gun (inadvertently) when installing the suppressed barrels. He shipped them out without even visually inspecting them. Fortunately I believe my gunsmith in San Antonio can fix the problem. Something like this would not have occurred had the guns left Ruben Mendiola's shop. He would have inspected them first and made sure they functioned as intended. Ruben is a man of his word. It was a pleasure to deal with him. His "back room" reminds me of a computer manufacturing "clean room." It was spotless.
If you are looking for a reliable and reputable source from which to purchase class 3 weapons, Ruben Mendiola/Dealer NFA is your man.
